My weekend in NY!

This past weekend I flew to New York to attend my son’s surprise engagement party…it wasn’t a surprise for him, but for his sweet new fiancé! It was a beautiful occasion for two godly kids who have put God first in their relationship. Because I consider you my friend, whether we have met in person or not, you are important to me so I wanted to share the engagement video with you. I hope you enjoy seeing my boy propose to the girl he loves. And by the way, I introduced them! How great is that? She was an event planner’s daughter at a teen event I spoke at a few years ago…when I met her, I just knew! Isn’t that crazy? God is amazing!

Here is their Engagement Video

While in New York… !!

…one MUST do a little shopping – or “Spring trend research,” yes? Especially when you have the opportunity to shop the world’s largest store! Macy’s has 11 floors and it is never ending fun and shopping. It’s their flagship store and it even has the old time wooden escalators! Here are a few pictures I took of some trends for spring. Embellished shoes, jeans, jackets, tops, and dresses are at the forefront. If embellished clothes aren’t for you, consider a delightful pair of shoes to step out in!

Blush, pink, yellow and nude hues were arrayed everywhere throughout the store displays. I’ve mentioned in a past email that green is the color of the year, but right bespring-trends-1hind green are the other colors I just mentioned. Consider wearing monochromatic outfits in these colors…basically, head to toe. You might add a white blouse, lace or ruffles as Romantic is a major theme, along with bold prints if you’re more of a pattern kind of gal.

Enjoy!
